News and urgent information will be posted here
12-02-2024 Update on current position regarding new members. If you are already a fencer and have your own equipment and BFA membership you are welcome to come to the club now.
If you are new to the sport you should email us and we will add your name to our list of prospective members. We are currently working through this list. We are now sending out regular emails to say when the next tatser session is being held. At the same time this email will confirm we have your details.
12-02-2024 Congratulations to Alex, Lauren, Emily, Mateo and William on your recent results at the Eastern Region Youth Championships.
20-09-2023 PLEASE NOTE, with effect from 25-09-2023 both Monday and Friday sessions will start at 19:30. This is because the Sports Hall will be unavailable* meaning only the gym is available at the Centre. This will enable another club to function, they will finish at 19:15.
*Being used as classrooms due to concrete issue
04-09-2023 Although there is currently an issue with concrete at the sports centre this does not affect the hall we use. The only change is you must gain access via the gym side door / fire exit.
04-09-2023 New members. There has been a hold on new members over the last few months. If you have contacted us we will be in touch in the next couple of weeks.
17-03-2023 The situation regarding the club taking new members remains mush as it was -
1. If you are already a fencer and have your own equipment and have BFA membership you are welcome to come along. An email ahead of attending would be useful.
2. If you are new to the sport please email us via the Contact Us page where we will add you to our waiting list. This is steadily reducing in length as we invite new members to attend. This is important as we are managing the numbers attending to meet the resources available to us. We thank you for your co-operation.
Club T Shirts etc. now available see the News or About Us pages
Remember the weekday club does not meet on Bank Holidays as the Centre is closed
